Alone she was enjoying a glass of wine at her favourite topfloor  terrace flat at famous highrise apartment to celebrate first anniversary of her book that published last year. It was a blockbuster supernatural novel.
Midnight view of the beautiful glittering street lights n billboards from her bedroom terrace seems as if stars scattered around.
With a soft music n glass of wine she was enjoying the view when suddenly sound of a thud brought her back to the senses.
She kept wine glass on a small table and slowly moved towards the big glass terrace door opening towards her bedroom  and looked around, there was no one, but a book kept on a bedside table was on floor. Slowly she went inside, picked up a book n kept on table. She felt presence of someone inside room as if staring at her, but there was no one.
The soft pastel curtains was swiftly swaying with a breeze. She checked the time, it as 3.02 a.m. She turned around n walked again towards terrace and took a glass of wine, sat on a chair, mind occupied with the wierd instances she just experienced.
Brushing aside thoughts thinking must be her mind playing games due to sleepy she finished glass of wine and got up.  Feeling sleepy she walked towards bedroom and froze by the sight. She saw a woman sleeping on her bed with the same book besides which had fallen minutes earlier.  Slowly she turned her to see a face and screamed in horror looking at the uncanny resemblance they both had except a blood oozing out from her head injury. The blow on her head had killed her instantly.
With a trembling hand she lifted book that was beside her. It was the same book she had published a year ago.
Hurriedly she went towards the mirror, there was no reflection of her. Slowly events of the night unfolded. She was out with her friends for dinner to celebrate her success. There she was followed by her rival who had accused her of stealing his work. On the pretext of congratulating her with apology he came to her house and killed her with blow on her head with a heavy metal vase.
