Dark.. Old.. Mysterious Door

When I read today’s SoCS prompt ‘Door’, I knew it was perfect platform  to write about Closed door that existed inside our old rented house, where we spent our childhood.

In our rented apartment one room was locked by our owner, where chairs, furnitures and belongings of old tenant was kept before we moved in that appartment.
As a kid I loved spending hours peeping in to that dark windowless room from small gap in the wooden door frame. I remember behind that locked door I saw cat and in Excitement I ran to tell my mom, who said it was my imagination as door was locked and cat can’t go inside, But i knew i saw it in real. Later i used to see cat frequently roaming in that spiderweb room between furnitures.

My mom started getting angry whenever she caught me peeping in  that room Instead of playing outside as I was spending most of my time peeping through gap to see cat.

Years later we shifted to our own new appartment. Initially I missed old house and mainly locked room and cat. Days passed by and Slowly with new friends and with new routine, old house n its memories took backstage.

Few years later, One day me, my parents n siblings we all were relaxing chatting when old house topic popped up.Then locked room topic came and I again said about roaming cat in that locked room. Being a teen i found sense in mom’s explaination now that how cat can managed to get inside that windowless locked room.

I asked dad one question which was always in back of my mind and that was why old tenant never came to take back their furniture and belongings
My dad said, that furniture belonged to one newly married couple who used to stay in that place before us. One day they committed suicide by hanging in the same room. House owner decided to keep their belonging in that same room and lock it before renting out appartment . Month later We shifted there. Dad casually added further that he got everytime confused clueless whenever I said cat is roaming in that locked room. He tried to see through gap in many occassions, but he never saw any cat.

I remember Many times we all heard sounds coming from that locked door but never experienced any paranormal encounter in that appartment, though we were too small to understand, but now i doubt that cat which i used to see behind that sealed door was really a cat or something else was behind that dark wooden locked door.

Childhood the most beautiful phase of Life filled with fun surrounded by protective Shield of parents and their selfless Love.

Growing Years brings little responsibilities But Still No Goals Insight… Enjoy Life and Focus On Academics. 

As Years Pass by Goal Comes into Scene… Good Grades, Choosing Carrers,  Competitions, Challenges, Thinking about finances and list goes on… stability in life becomes more important than happiness. Yes these things stole many sleeps… But these are the part of life which is unavoidable. Everyone goes through these phase of Life.

 But the special something always peeps its head or try to attract attention towards it even between life challenges and keeps us awake many nights…. I too have one.

Dream to see every corner of the world…. Some lone dusty road trips, to learn about different cultures that very few are aware of, watching sun rises and sun sets from different countries or places and to settle down somewhere in the midst of the nature, serene n calm place where only love resides in the heart of peoples.

When I ask myself a question .. M I Happy n content with my life or Did I Achieved what I dreamt?? I spend sleepless nights thinking about my dream tour, not world tour but atleast to some places from where I can enjoy beautiful n different sunrises n Sunsets and a Small house in the countryside in the middle of nature…

Yes I still have to achieve what gives me happiness( It doesn’t mean m not happy) But till then it will keep me awake.

‘Behind Every Successful Man, There Is A Woman Who Had Believed And Supported Him In His Success Journey.’ 

This image reminds Me These Saying. Womens holding the statue’s legs looks like he is on top of the world because Three Beautiful Girls firmly supporting him with the smile on their face( Yes Credit Goes To The Man Standing Far Right Too😉) to achieve what he dreamt. The one on whose shoulder he is sitting relaxed is the pillar of the family… Without whom nothing can be possible…. FATHER.

In short, I relate these image to the Beautiful Bonding Between The Members Of The Family. If one member of the family dreams to be on top but is afraid of failure or needs motivation, support and someone who show belief in his dreams…. If he finds that support in his family itself then nothing can stop him to be on top and to convert his dreams into reality.

Incident is small but it had a great impact on my Heart and Soul. I was at bank to complete some formalities, waiting for my turn. There was little rush than usual at that hour. Few minutes later, father son duo entered in the bank. Father was too old to even walk, but his son was holding his hand. Carefully he made him sit on a chair besides me. His father sitting on a chair with a cane in one hand was constantly following his son with his eyes. I thought may be it was necessity for some procedure that needed father’s presence. Witnessing such a beautiful bonding between father and son in today’s world, where we hear children abandons their old parents made me happy. His father was rather lucky to have an obidient son, who still looks after him, cares for him and accompanies him leaving his own work aside. What was more beautiful was father still cares for his grownup son that reflects in his eyes. By then his son came near him, carefully he helped him to stand and took him at one counter. Father signed some documents. After completion of signature formalities, Within a second I saw his son asked him to sit signalling at the chair. Father took slow but careful steps towards the chair, while his son was busy enquiring something on the counter, then busy talking on cellular. All this while not even once he cared to  glance at his father. 

Few minutes later his son came near him and said something like, “I got a call from office, they are waiting for me.. it’s urgent. You hire a cab n reach home.” And left hurriedly not even intrested what his father has to say. I was shocked by this sudden change in his behaviour. I didn’t saw any love or care in his eyes. He asked his father to accompy with him just because he needed his signature on papers as it was unavoidable… DISGUSTING.

A son who seemed so obidient and caring now showed his true colors. His father took nearly a minute to reach at nearby chair, who can’t even stand without support, how can he left him to reach home all alone safely??  Yes he must have reached home safely, coz I believe God take care of Good Souls.

I didn’t knew them except this brief encounter, but then I still saw pain in his father’s eyes with lots of unanswered questions.

How can his son forget his childhood days, the time and money spent by his father for family’s happiness or to fulfill his demands. The hands that must have holded him in rush, the comforting hand that must have pacified him when something scared him and most important the man because of whom he was what he wanted to be, settled and able to earn position in society.

The incident brought tears in my eyes. I came to know the world is not what we think.. All beautiful, filled with love. There are few who still don’t know the real value of Love, Relationship and Parents.
